Mycroblock 200 is based on is based on PCE concrete accelerator and comes in a light-yellow liquid form. Its addition to cementitious mixtures disperses agglomerated cement particles, speeding up hydration and improving the performance of the water content. This facilitates water reduction to be achieved while working continuously, thereby enhancing strength.

Mycroblock 200 accelerators increase the solubility of calcium ions in the mix, promoting faster hydration of cement particles. PCEs are made up of a polymer backbone with carboxylate groups that help reduce the viscosity of the concrete mix. PCEs work by creating a steric effect. YCRO-WR – NP20 is a Melamine Formaldehyde Sulfonates (MFS) / Naphthalene Sulfonate Condensates (NSC) based water reducer admixture and supplied as a brown liquid instantly dispersible in water. This generally improves cement dispersion. At the start of the mixing process an electrostatic dispersion occurs due t which cement particle's capacity to separate and disperse increases. This mechanism considerably reduces the water demand in flow able concrete.

Cement particles naturally tend to agglomerate due to Van der Waals forces and ionic attractions. NSC adsorbs onto the surface of cement particles and introduces negatively charged (-SO3−) sulfonate groups. This creates electrostatic repulsion, breaking apart cement clusters and ensuring uniform particle distribution.

YCRO-SP-PC 500 is built on a special mixed design of melamine formaldehyde  and polycarboxylic ether polymer with lengthy lateral chains, it differs from traditional superplasticizers. Cement dispersion is significantly enhanced by this. The ability of the cement particles to separate and scatter is compromised by the electrostatic dispersion that happens at the beginning of the mixing process. The water requirement of flowable concrete is significantly decreased by this technique. MYCRO-SP-PC500 combines workability retention and water reduction qualities. It makes it possible to produce concrete with high workability and/or high performance. With the help of this potent super-plasticizer, concrete with constant qualities around the necessary dosage can be produced.

MYCRO-SP-PC 500 are chemical additives that improve concrete's fluidity by reducing the amount of water needed. They are surfactants and they confer Negative Charge on individual Cement particles such that they are kept in a more Dispersed or Suspended state due to interparticle repulsion hence accounting for the Mobility of the particles. They work by reducing the surface tension between water and cement particles, which causes the particles to form a less open structure. Micro-con AIR is a chloride free air entraining admixture based on neutralized Vinson resin. Micro-con AIR acts at the interface between the mixing water and cement/aggregate particles to produce microscopic air bubbles, which are evenly distributed throughout the concrete. The entrained air enhances durability by providingprotection. Against the rapid temperature changes found in freezing and thawing conditions and with the use of de-icing salts.

Mycrocon AIR forms the solid-water interface where directive forces exist in the cement surface, the polar groups become bound to the solid with the nonpolar groups oriented toward the water, making the cement surface hydrophobic so that air can displace water and remain attached to the solid particles as bubbles.

Where to use:

➢ To produce air entrained concrete that increased durability and resistance to damage by frost and deicing salts. It includes concrete roads and bridge decks, airport runways and taxiways and other extensive areas of concrete exposed to potential frost damage.

➢ To improve cohesion and workability of concrete mixes where poorly graded aggregates must be used and bleeding, segregation or sand runs occur.

Features of Mycrocon AIR:

➢ Air entrainment increases the resistance of concrete to attack by frost and de-icing salts, reducing problems of surface scaling and concrete failure.

➢ Entrained air bubbles assist in the formation of a stable cohesive mix, reducing segregation and bleeding.

➢ Air entrainment improves workability and helps produce a dense, uniform, close textured surface free from gravel nests and sand runs, so further enhancing durability.

Method of Application

The optimum dosage of MYCROCON AIR to meet specific requirements must always be determined by trials using the materials and conditions that will be experienced in use. This allows the optimisation of admixture dosage and mix design and provides a complete assessment of the concrete mix.

As a starting point for trials a dosage of 0.08 litres/100kg of cement will typically give an air content of 5% ± 1.5% in a medium workability concrete of 300- 350 kg/m3 cementitious content. Where cement replacement materials are used, they should be included in the cementitious content for purposes of calculating admixture dosage.

Precautions & Limitations

➢ Do not add Mycroblock 100 directly to dry cement & aggregate mix.

➢ Maintain water-cement ratio as low as possible.

➢ Do not increase the dosage of Mycroblock 100 than the recommendation.

Compatibility:

Mycrocon AIR can be used with all types of Portland cements and is generally compatible with other admixtures. It is recommended that all admixtures be added to concrete separately.

Curing:

As with all structural concrete, good curing practice should be maintained.

Overdosing:

An overdose of double the recommended measure of Mycrocon AIR will increase workability and air content and can result in slight set retardation of the concrete. The

ultimate strength of the concrete should not be impaired if advantage is taken of the water reduction and the concrete is adequately cured.

IN (Multipurpose) is an additive to concrete that will improve the reinforcement's and other embedded steels' passivation. Through improved passivation to the cathodic and anodic regions of embedded steel, this kind of additive serves to increase the long-term durability of reinforced concrete. The choice of a corrosion inhibitor depends on factors such as metal type, environment (acidic, neutral, or alkaline), temperature, and application (industrial, oil & gas, water treatment, etc.).

MycroStop – IN inhibitors play a crucial role in preventing the deterioration of metals, particularly in harsh environments. The general mechanisms by which these inhibitors function can be categorized into two primary approaches: adsorption and barrier formation. MycroStop – IN are work by interacting with the metal surface and the corrosive environment, effectively reducing the rate of corrosion through a combination of chemical reactions. This overview provides essential insights into their theoretical underpinnings without delving into specific examples or detailed pathways.

Where to use:

• Pipeline Protection, Well Stimulation, Storage Tanks

• Boiler Systems, Cooling Water Systems, Drinking Water Treatment:

• Process Equipment Protection

• Radiator Coolants

• Ship Hulls & Ballast Tanks, Offshore Platforms

• Pickling Inhibitors & Temporary Corrosion Protection

• Reinforced Concrete Structures

• Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)

• Canning Industry

Features of Integral Mycrobond SBR Compounds:

➢ High Efficiency: Effectively reduces the rate of corrosion at low concentrations.

➢ Strong Adsorption Ability: Forms a barrier that prevents corrosive agents from reaching the metal.

➢ Compatibility with the System

➢ High Thermal Stability

➢ Non-Volatile and Resistance to Degradation

Dosage

Actual dosage of MycroStop – IN will be decided by trial and mix. As a guide, a dosage range of 0.5 to 1 % volume by weight of cement is normally recommended. An overdose of double the intended amount of Mycrostop – IN will result in change in rate of passivation of embedded reinforcement as compared to that normally obtained at the intended dosage.
